Now is the more powerful place to be
"Live in the present moment" -Eckhart Tolle
"Remain in the vortex"- Abraham-Hicks
"Let Go and Let God."- Christian quote
No matter who or what doctrine you follow, each of these phrases are directing you to do the same thing with your thought, intention, energy, and focus.
Remain present.
Focus on this moment now because all too often, we get in the way of ourselves. We allow our fears, worries and insecurities to tell ourselves the false story that we somehow are not created for abundant wealth, relationships and health.
We are designed for absolute abundance.
How do you stay in the present moment to welcome in all of this incredible abundance?
Well, here's a great example.
We are a volleyball family. My husband played volleyball through high school, college and throughout his adult life In fact, I met my husband in college and took a one-unit course on volleyball because I really liked this guy and thought I better know a thing or two about volleyball so I could keep up with him and his passion. And our daughters play volleyball. In fact, every single Sunday afternoon during the pandemic, you would find our family at the local school field with our own net playing volleyball for hours. We love this sport. Our youngest daughter's team was at Nationals this past summer. There were approximately 60 courts filled in this huge convention center and balls were flying everywhere.
For anyone who attends these tournaments regularly, you know the time to be hyper-vigilantly present is during serving warm-ups five minutes before the game starts. Every member of the team is serving as hard as they can and there are no less than 15 speeding balls flying through the air at any given time. As you can imagine, some have better aim than others and since this is a warm-up, this is the time to clear away the errors. I have always been ultra-aware and present during this window of time because I don't want to get hit, except for this particular morning.
It was 7:55 am with an 8:00 am game start and I was sitting next to the court with my hand up protecting my head. My oldest daughter said, "Why are you so worried? It'll be fine." So I put my hand down and looked at my phone for one minute...and bam....speeding ball to my head. I was back in the present moment now! And sat in that present moment headache for the next two days, knowing I knew better than to step out of presence. Had I remained present and not looked down at our biggest non-presence thief- my phone, I could have dodged the ball that was headed my way or better yet caught it, hit it back or simply moved out of the way. I would have had so many options... if I was present.
This is what happens when we remain present to our life as well.
We stop getting metaphorically hit in the head with the ball of the day.
What ball has hit you upside the head recently?
When we are present, we have more choices and can respond to and enjoy life in wonderful ways because we have more energy.
We exhaust our energy when we use our imagination to create multiple future scenarios:
* the great outcome
* the feared possible outcome or
* the doomsday outcome.
This prediction energy depletes us, leaving no energy for the present moment. The same is true with the opposite of foreboding. It’s evil counterpart, rumination of the past, is equally exhausting.
When we expend our energy this way, we are left with little to no energy for our present moment experience.
With little energy here, our energy frequency is lowered and then we magnetize a low-vibe life. When we draw in the past rumination and future tense prediction energy, we can bask in abundance and fullness and attract that very experience into our life. Join me for today’s meditation as we draw our energy in and bask in absolute present moment abundance.
Join me in doing so in my meditation this week, How to live in the present moment, where I teach you how to move away from the heaviness of the past and worry of the future so you can live from the present energetic state.
Much love,
Erin
