What has been nudging you?

Four years ago, I started getting a nudge. A pull, really, toward needing to produce a podcast.

And this is the guidance I offer to my clients all the time. Determine and follow what you are pulled toward in life rather than feeling pushed to something.

Wow, that pull was a strong one. But I did not know the first thing about producing a podcast and the idea of it riddled me with fear.

But the nudge would not go away.

And believe me, I tried to make it go away.

I told myself it wasn't for me. I wouldn't have enough to say. I wouldn't know what to do.

I couldn't tell myself enough lies to counteract the energy that was magnetizing me toward starting this podcast.

I resisted as long as I could.

With palpable energetic proof I was meant to do this, I told 1! friend.  Just one.

Turns out though, this friend is great friends with a really successful podcaster, unbeknownst to me.

This one friend said, "Oh, that would be so great! Let me connect you to my friend. He'll help you out!"

So she arranged a call for me. This seasoned podcaster sent me a list of gear to buy and offered his amazing words of wisdom.

So I bought the gear and it arrived and it looked just like that moment in Apollo 13  when they dropped all the items on the table to try to fit a square peg into a round hole.

I asked around for some help without finding someone who could help me assemble these pieces. I got overwhelmed and put everything in the closet, trusting it would all fall into place when it was ready. One day, a few months later, I was at an event for my daughter and I was standing next to someone who mentioned he was in a band and so I asked him if he knew how to set up all the "stuff." He said, "The stuff is my favorite part!"

So he set me up and I was on my way.  Well, I was on my way to the beginning of a whole other journey. A journey that has taken me through learning boundaries, learning my self-worth, learning when to say no and learning when to let myself say yes as I am now nearing 100 episodes!

Most importantly, I have continued to find my voice. During many moments now, I'll be recording and, mid-sentence, will feel in every cell in my body the reason why that nudge was so persistent.  I feel the words, the lessons and the guidance that will teach people how heal and become more resilient and abundant come through me. I am grateful every single day, I took that first step and let it all fall into place.

What first step has been nudging you?

What idea or inspiration is pulling you toward it and will not leave you alone?

Who can you tell?  Could that one friend begin to bring this inspiration to fruition?

What one small move can you make toward that idea just to see if it all magically falls into place?

My bet is, it will just take one step and you will be on your way to experiencing the summoning of your soul.

Tomorrow, I dive into the Enneagram Stances on life and how the enneagram stances will bring more joy into your life.  You do not need to know the enneagram to learn from these stances. They are truly the road map to a happier and  more joyous life that no one can take away from you. Be sure to join me tomorrow and follow my Love.Heal.Thrive. podcast today to be alerted when it releases!

Good luck this week following the pull of your soul.

Much love,
Erin
