Is your life like a movie?
This weekend, we were flipping through the television channels, looking for something to watch, and came across one of my favorite childhood movies.
I said to my husband, “Wow! I must’ve watched that movie 20 times when I was a kid.”
It got me thinking about why we watch movies over and over again.
A known ending provides comfort, security and safety.
As a child, there are so many facets of our life that are unpredictable, and rapidly changing, that the comfort of a known ending offers a sure bet with no surprises.
It's dependable and for some children this might be the only area they ever found dependability and certainty.
How many times have you watched your favorite movie? Have you watched it lately?
There is a strong need for this sense of security and comfort right now with all that is happening in the world.
We need to feel like we know how the story ends.
How would it feel to walk into a movie theater and watch the last 15 minutes of the movie and then sit through the next showing of the movie?
Would the trials the star of the movie needed to overcome feel as stressful or worrisome if you knew how the ending turned out?
Probably not.
You may find yourself calmer and more relaxed while watching the movie because you knew it was all going to work out.
What if your life felt this way?
What if throughout your day you could be certain that it was all turning out ok and that everything in your life was brought in for a purpose to bless you?
Guess what? You can.
I'm offering you the best movie ticket ever....the movie ticket to your life.
When you live and process your life from a place of safety and security, trusting and knowing that life is always working out for you and that you are always being blessed, you attract a life that is blessed in every way.
While you may not know the finer details of the ending of your day like you would in a movie, you can know the feeling of the end of your day.
The same feeling you experience at the end of your favorite movie. You feel satisfied, comforted, happy, nourished.
As you place trust in the Universe by simply reminding yourself that "everything is always blessing me somehow," we begin to seek out the blessings and then we experience our Hollywood Movie ending- a life that feels over joyous and complete.
Sometimes it begins with a daily affirmation:
"I am always being blessed."
"Everything is working out for me."
"How will this ultimately bless me?"
If an affirmation doesn't offer you solace, join me for meditation this week. When we tap into a Universal greatness that far surpasses our understanding and know without a doubt, this source is always blessing us, we begin to trust life more.
We begin to relax, let go and know that the end of our movie turns out amazing!
Join me for this week’s meditation, Movie ending life meditation, where together we will walk through life feeling safe and secure and enjoying your Hollywood Movie Ending.
Much love,
Erin
