Heal Your Family. Heal The World.
“The way you help heal the world is you start with your own family.”
― Mother Teresa
No truer words could be spoken right now.
This pandemic is calling us to quiet our minds and connect with ourselves and our families. We are getting back to our roots...metaphorically, energetically and physically. As we strengthen the connection and bond of our family, we strengthen our own roots and the roots of our family.
And family can mean many different things. Family can be blood family, family that you choose, family that you are married into or born into for life.
We are also all connected to a Divine family. We are all family.
And I think for many of us, we are experiencing this for the first time. As a world, we are all processing the same emotions. We are all enduring the same experience all the way around the world. We have always been spiritually and energetically connected. What is true about the connection of this pandemic is true for our spiritual and energetic lives too.
We all experience the same thing. We feel each others emotions and we can help heal each other simply by healing ourselves.
We are getting back to our roots and to our family's roots.
Just as we meditated together last week with Grounding with Gratitude, and grew our gratitude for our roots and Mother Earth, this same gratitude can be activated to heal our family unit.
Join me for this week's meditation, Heal your family. Heal the world.
This week, I had to stop by Love.Heal.Thrive. to pick up bills, water plants and see a few clients on Zoom. I was away from my family for 4 hours and quite honestly, it didn't feel right to be away from them. When I got home, they agreed with me too. We missed each other and it just feels like we are supposed to be together right now.
You see, our healing isn't complete.
The connection and healing we need to do as a nucleus family hasn't made its way through the spots that need it most yet.
This healing works both ways. Our family heals us and we heal the family.
Is it your family that has gone away or been full of struggle or is it you?
As you take this much needed time to quiet your mind and your heart, you will begin to see your family differently. You will find greater compassion, understanding and acceptance.
Because, though meditation, you will have found compassion, understanding and acceptance for yourself first.
Much love,
Erin
