Are you a hugging guru too?

Hi Thriver!

I met up for brunch with some extended family today. When we all arrived at the table, everyone stood up and hugged deep, long, meaningful hugs.

The time lapse from this hug today from our last hug had a broad range. I had seen some family members within the past month, others the past year and a few even before pandemic.

The thing I know for sure. Time never changes love.

Those early morning hugs meant everything and there was so much love shared in every embrace.

As it turns out, that love was palpable by people outside of our family too.

There were two women sitting at the table next to our long table and as I pulled away from one long-extended "I've missed you" hug, the neighboring guest said, "I want a hug."

I said, "Really?" She confirmed with a big yes and a smile.

It was such a genuine heartfelt request that time and space seemed to pause and my heart lept at the chance to hug her.

I said, "Get in here girl!" and gave her a great big hug!

Her friend joining her at the table seemed like she also wanted a hug. I asked her if she wanted a hug too and she said, "I do actually."

And so we hugged it out and my heart never felt more alive and elevated.

I understand why
Amma, also known as the hugging saint, does what she does.  She embraces and heals people with her hugs.

Our heart energy is powerful.

I have no idea what circumstances these women were meeting under and have no idea how often they are hugged. How could hugging someone in your life make a difference for them?  My bet is that it will make a difference for you too.

According to
Virginia Satir, American author and psychotherapist, we need 4 hugs a day for survival, 8 hugs a day for maintenance, and 12 hugs a day for growth.

How many hugs do you receive in a day?

How can you begin to incorporate these powerful healing hugs into your life?

As you begin to share the love more, you will attract even more love into your life.

Allow your energy to shift and change the room rather than the room shifting you as a wrote about in my blog,
How Will Your Mana Change the World?  Begin with greeting those you love, and dare I say those who you may not even know, with a heart-felt hug.

Watch how you begin to feel differently as do those around you.

When we allow our heart energy to emanate throughout a room or to another person, it is felt deeply. Love is the energetic frequency of healing. Join me for this week's meditation,
Shift the energy in the room meditation, and watch what happens when you lead with your heart.
