How I Responded To An Active Shooter Call

unnamed1 copy.png

I received the call that no mother wants.

At 10:30pm last night, my daughter was on the other line running, panicked telling me there was an active shooter at Great America where she and her group of friends were celebrating her friend’s birthday. In her breathless words, she said, “Mom, they’re saying there’s a shooter here and everyone is running. We’re leaving the park, and I’ll call you when we’re safe. I love you.” Click

Those of you who know me well, know that my Do not disturb is often on. We had just left a musical so I’m certain it had to still be on. God can thwart electronics too.

I’ve never been so grateful for a call.

Of course, I instantly picked up my phone to look at what was happening and from the deepest place within me there came this guidance that I needed to do what I do best.

Elicit protection.

I told my husband to research what was going on and I started praying for Archangel Michael and his Mercy of Angels’ protection around the girls and the park. I only imagined them safe and maintained a deep state of peace. I imagined a beautiful blue indigo bubble around the girls and the park and sent this to my daughter who is a major manifestor.

She knows we call on Archangel Michael for protection. (She has been trained for years.) She knew I was reminding her to use her tools and the Angels went to work.

The girls were trying to figure out where to go and a “woman” grabbed one of their arms and said, “Don’t go that way. There’s an active shooter. Go this way” and sent them through an Employees Only exit that allowed them to get to a hotel lobby quickly. As the girls were telling this story when they arrived home safely, chills went up my spine when they told of this woman. They never saw her again, but they said they had so wanted to thank her.

So thank you wonderful Great America employee, or a Divine Angel in disguise. Either way, you are our true Guardian Angel.

God uses people to help each other.

So when you feel a tug on your heart to help someone, don’t pause for one second. God uses us all in the most unique ways.

I know we are all feeling powerless to these shooting events, and I want you to know, you are not powerless. You have a team of Guardian Angels here to protect you to call upon every time and every night. I thank the Angels for protection every night around my home, business, schools and cars. I ask for protection anytime I’m walking alone. I thank Archangel Michael for His protection every single day, multiple times a day.

It doesn’t have to be your own child and it doesn’t have to be in response to a situation to call upon this protection. Although, I feel so much more empowered knowing I can do this if something awful happens.

This is one of my many daily practices and use it supercharged when in danger. I invite you to begin using your indigo blue circle of protection and watch how much more peaceful and safe your life feels. We attract what we feel so as you feel safer, your world becomes safer.

We can shift this world one prayer at a time.

Much love,
Erin
