Is your life really falling apart?

Life is already so busy. It becomes even more hectic during the holidays. What is meant to be a time of enjoying and celebrating with the ones we love the most turns into a season of pressure, obligation and chaos. We become attached to buying the perfect gift, decorating the perfect home or being the perfectly dressed party guest. Don't get me wrong...There is joy in thoughtful gift buying, decorating and feeling and looking beautiful.

It is when it becomes a triple threat to our peace that it becomes a problem.

And whether the triple threat revolves around the holidays or around friendships, family or our health, we are well served to trust that everything happens for a reason. Things don't always work out the way we hoped they would and in the end, we are left questioning and holding on even tighter to the way we think our life is supposed to be. This real struggle and tight grasp to the way we think our life is supposed to be can leave us anxious, exhausted and depressed.

But what if there was another way?

I often listen to The Message station and this incredible song came on at the perfect moment for me this week, naturally.

The song is Just Be Held by Casting Crowns and the lyrics were...

Hold it all together

Everybody needs you strong

But life hits you out of nowhere

And barely leaves you holding on

And when you're tired of fighting

Chained by your control

There's freedom in surrender

Lay it down and let it go

So when you're on your knees and answers seem so far away

You're not alone, stop holding on and just be held

Your world's not falling apart, it's falling into place

You can listen to this amazing song HERE.

Those words...

Your world's not falling apart, it's falling into place...

That helped bring so much peace to the crazy that was going on in my head in an instant. We think our life is falling apart... but what if it's that very shift that is needed to bring us closer to what we were brought here to do? Sometimes we just aren't motivated to take action until we're forced to take action. Could some of these circumstances that are changing in your life revolve around something you've thought about doing for a long time? Resting more? Having a tough conversation with someone? Maybe even finding more inspiring work? Or being the inspiration at the work place?

So this holiday season and for 2018, begin to take a look at how your life might just be falling into place. Perhaps the crazy might be just what was needed to redirect you and guide you to your true center.

Much love,

Erin
